MEETING TIMES and PLACE:

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at 6707 Royal Lane (Royal Lane and Hillcrest) in the Royal Lane Baptist Church.  Please call 214-454-6812 to let Gloria Blum know you will be at the meeting. This is the Annual Meeting of the Pekingese Club of Texas.

The following have been nominated for officers and board for the year 2012:

There were no nominations from the floor.

 

CHRISTMAS PARTY:

There will be no Christmas Party this year.  

 

TROPHY REPORT: 

When members join our club they are asked to please give a perpetual trophy donation.  This donation is given every show and no one can take that trophy away from you.  You are not asked every show if you will give that trophy because it is a perpetual trophy until you say stop.  Members pride themselves and usually cannot wait until a better trophy is available so that they can “move up” on the list.  We no longer offer Novice Classes or Open under 8 lbs Classes in our specialties.  We are still in need of trophy donations.  These trophies are available on a perpetual basis:  Available are:  All fourth place trophies ($10.00) plus various others that have been recently given up.  These lists are put in the Premium List and Catalog and are also a form of advertising.

 

DECEMBER SPECIALTY SHOW:   The December Specialty was in conjunction with the Lone Star State Classic Specialties, Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. on Dec. 8, 2011  at Market Hall, 2200 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75207. The Judges for the December show for Sweepstakes were Mrs. Helen G. Tomb-Taylor, and for Regular Classes were Ms. Rebecca K. Carney. 

 

MEMBERSHIP:  

If you know someone who you feel would make a good member of our club, please have them fill out an application for membership, with two members in good standing as sponsors.  Send the application with a check to Dr. Michael Knight. The membership application can be found and available for printing on the website:  www.pekingesecluboftexas.com/ or contact Michael for one to be mailed to you.

This entirely new website for our club is located at www.pekingesecluboftexas.com/. The membership roster is there. Please check the listing and make sure that your current email address is correct. The current Newsletter will always be updated monthly.  If there is something that you would like to see on the website please let Don Sutton know.  Betty will update daily if necessary. Kudos goes to Betty Tilley-Poole for her hard work.
